Colby College, a member of the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC), is seeking a full-time Head Coach of Men's Tennis. The college boasts 32 intercollegiate sports competing at the Division III level, with a strong emphasis on campus recreation, club, and intramural sports. Over one-third of Colby's 2,300 students participate in intercollegiate sports, and nearly three-quarters are involved in fitness and recreation activities. The Men's Tennis program has a rich history, consistently reaching the NESCAC Tournament and earning numerous accolades. Colby has made significant investments in its athletic facilities, including the Harold Alfond Athletics and Recreation Center, which features state-of-the-art amenities, including indoor tennis courts. The college also offers a Peak Performance Program integrating sports medicine, strength and conditioning, sports psychology, nutrition, and sports sciences. Located in central Maine, Colby offers access to various outdoor recreational venues. The Head Coach will be responsible for the leadership, direction, instruction, supervision, and coaching of the men's tennis program, aiming for consistent top performance in the NESCAC and Division III nationally. This role includes recruiting high-achieving student-athletes, managing the program's budget, travel, and equipment, and supervising assistant coaches or volunteers. A key aspect of the role is building athletes of character who contribute positively to the classroom and community, upholding the values of the College and the department.
