About The Position

At Stonesedge Kitchen, we offer a refined yet approachable dining experience in the heart of Whistler Village. Known for our warm atmosphere, locally inspired menus, and attention to detail, we’re looking for a Head Chef who can bring leadership, consistency, and creativity to the kitchen. This is an opportunity to shape a menu that highlights fresh, seasonal ingredients while mentoring a strong culinary team and delivering a dining experience that feels both elevated and welcoming.

Requirements

Proven experience in a quality-driven kitchen (leadership experience preferred)
A passion for seasonal, locally inspired cuisine
Strong leadership and communication skills
A focus on consistency, detail, and guest experience
Calm, solutions-focused mindset in a fast-paced environment
Experience with inventory, food costing, and kitchen systems
A genuine interest in mentoring and developing your team

Nice To Haves

Red Seal certification (or equivalent) is an asset, but not required

Responsibilities

Oversee daily kitchen operations across lunch, dinner, and special events
Lead, coach, and inspire a collaborative culinary team
Develop and evolve menus that reflect seasonality and guest preferences
Ensure excellence in presentation, quality, and consistency
Maintain high standards in food safety, cleanliness, and organization
Manage food and labour costs with a balanced, thoughtful approach
Work closely with FOH and leadership teams to deliver a seamless guest experience
Stay connected to the floor—this is a hands-on leadership role
