About The Position

This position is responsible for the coaching activities sanctioned by RPS Athletics, as considered appropriate. The Head Boys Basketball Coach will plan and schedule a regular program of practice during the season, coach individual participants in the skills necessary for excellent achievement in the sport, and assist in the selection, assignment, and evaluation of assistant coaches. The coach will also collaborate with the student activities coordinator and other personnel in recommending the purchase of uniforms, equipment, and supplies, and oversee or help oversee the maintenance, safety, and cleanliness of uniforms, equipment, supplies, and the facility or area to be used. Adherence to all RPS Athletics policies and procedures, as well as regulations imposed by the RPS division, is required. The coach will enforce discipline and sportsmanlike behavior at all times and be responsible for the issuing and collecting of all school properties used. Additionally, the coach will cooperatively plan for an annual recognition program for all qualifying participating students and perform other related duties as required.
