About The Position

The Head Girls Basketball Coach is responsible for the coaching activities sanctioned by RPS Athletics. This role involves planning and scheduling a regular program of practice during the season, coaching individual participants in the skills necessary for excellent achievement in the sport, and assisting in the selection, assignment, and evaluation of assistant coaches. The coach will collaborate with the student activities coordinator and other personnel in recommending the purchase of uniforms, equipment, and supplies. Additionally, the coach will oversee or help oversee the maintenance, safety, and cleanliness of uniforms, equipment, supplies, and the facility. Adherence to all RPS Athletics policies and procedures, as well as regulations imposed by the RPS division, is required. The coach must enforce discipline and sportsmanlike behavior at all times, be responsible for issuing and collecting all school properties used, and cooperatively plan for an annual recognition program for all qualifying participating students. Other related duties as required.

Requirements

Demonstrated ability to develop and manage athletic activities sanctioned by RPS.
Bilingual skills to include Spanish are a plus.

Responsibilities
