About The Position

Middletown Christian Schools is looking for a coach who embraces our vision, mission, and core values. We are a ministry of Grace Baptist Church and seek to be a Christ-centered educational institution that teaches from a biblical worldview. A person who seeks this position should be one who is convinced that God has called him/her to the ministry of coaching in a Christian school.

Requirements

High School Diploma/GED
Valid Ohio pupil activity permit (may be obtained after hire).
Acceptable BCI and FBI report.
Publicly profess a faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
Actively engage in the life and ministry of a local church as a member.
Pursue a life of spiritual development through regular study of scripture and prayer.
Demonstrate the fruit of the Spirit as a byproduct of a growing faith.
Believe and support the school’s statement of faith (Statement of Grace Baptist Church).
Agree to abide by the Lifestyle Statement.
Complete knowledge of the sport
The ability to teach fundamentals, skills, rules, and regulations of the sport
Be able to organize, plan, and execute practice sessions
Demonstrates strong leadership in sportsmanship, integrity, and character development
Detail orientated
Have the desire and ability to establish rapport with student athletes and their families
Must be familiar with all safety regulations (i.e. Lindsay’s Law)

Responsibilities

Responsible for issuing, maintaining, and collecting of equipment
Supervision of student athletes
Occasional exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and tissue.
Occasional operation of your own vehicle under inclement weather conditions.
Occasionally lift, carry, push, and pull various items athletic/sport/gym related materials or equipment. e.g., paper boxes, deliveries of supplies and equipment, ball carts, floor mats.
