Head Baseball Coach
About The Position
Lead and manage all aspects of the high school softball program. This role involves planning and conducting practices, training sessions, and game strategies to develop student-athletes’ skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship. The Head Coach will also supervise and support assistant coaches, ensure compliance with school and athletic association policies, and maintain the softball field and equipment. Effective communication with players, parents, and school staff is crucial, as is fostering academic success, positive character development, and a safe, inclusive, and competitive team environment. Additional duties may be assigned by the athletic director and school administration.
Requirements
- Must possess administrative and organizational skills
- Thorough knowledge of Bertie County Schools athletic policy and procedure
- Thorough knowledge of the North Carolina Administrative Code and Statutes
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, parents, and the community
- Meet requirements established by the North Carolina High School Athletic Association
- Meet requirements established by the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction
- Meet requirements established by the Bertie County Board of Education
- Meet requirements established by school administration

- Perform additional duties as assigned by the athletic director and school administration
