About The Position

Mayo Clinic Arizona is seeking a fellowship-trained Head and Neck/Microvascular Surgeon to join their Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery in Phoenix, Arizona. The Head and Neck division supports a high-volume multidisciplinary cancer and reconstructive practice within an academic medical center. Key features include a comprehensive head and neck oncology program, a busy microvascular reconstructive practice, a leading transoral surgery program, a complex skull base program in partnership with neurosurgery, and a multidisciplinary cancer clinic. The model is collaborative and patient-centered, aligning with Mayo Clinic’s core value that the needs of the patient come first.

Responsibilities

Establish a high-volume practice rapidly with immediate access to a strong referral network, supported by an experienced head and neck team.
Work seamlessly with leading specialists across oncology, radiology, pathology, reconstructive surgery, and supportive care.
Participate in established tumor boards and integrated care pathways.
Engage in one-on-one resident mentorship within an apprenticeship model.
Teach medical students, residents, and fellows.
Participate in curriculum development and educational leadership.
Access formal leadership training through Mayo Clinic’s internal leadership programs.
