About The Position

Mayo Clinic Arizona is seeking a fellowship-trained Head and Neck/Microvascular Surgeon to join our highly collaborative and multi-faceted Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery in Phoenix, Arizona. The Head and Neck division at Mayo Clinic Arizona supports a thriving, high-volume multidisciplinary cancer and reconstructive practice within one of the nation’s premier academic medical centers. Key features include: A comprehensive head and neck oncology program with a robust referral base across the Southwest and beyond. A busy microvascular reconstructive practice supported by advanced perioperative care resources. A leading transoral surgery program, including TORS and advanced endoscopic techniques. A complex skull base program with close partnership alongside world-class neurosurgery colleagues. A multidisciplinary cancer clinic that integrates surgical oncology, medical oncology, radiation oncology, pathology, radiology, speech-language pathology, and supportive care services. Requirements

  • MD, DO, or equivalent degree from an accredited institution
  • Fellowship training in an accredited Head and Neck Fellowship
  • BE/BC with the American Board of Otolaryngology
  • Eligibility for licensure in the state of Arizona

Responsibilities

  • Establish a high-volume practice rapidly
  • Work seamlessly with leading specialists across oncology, radiology, pathology, reconstructive surgery, and supportive care.
  • Participate in established tumor boards and integrated care pathways.
  • Engage in one-on-one resident mentorship within an apprenticeship model that has been foundational to Mayo Clinic’s Graduate Medical Education program since its inception.
  • Opportunities to teach medical students, residents, and fellows.
  • Participate in curriculum development and educational leadership.
