About The Position

ACV is a technology company that operates a digital marketplace and provides data solutions for sourcing, selling, and managing used vehicles. The HD Chase Driver safely transports CDL drivers to destinations throughout the United States so they can pick up or deliver vehicles to and from the auction. The role involves interacting professionally with clients and drivers, maintaining chase vehicles, and supporting CDL drivers with transport preparation. Overnight trips may be required.

Requirements

• Clean driving record and a valid driver's license.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to use GPS systems and general knowledge of efficient routes.
• Ability and willingness to drive safely in different weather conditions.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Willingness to learn and use online payroll systems for timekeeping.
• Able to take overnight trips as needed.
• Able to lift commercial batteries to replace them if needed.
• Able to assist CDL drivers in preparing trucks for transport.
• Able to drive trucks through the sales arena on sale days.

Nice To Haves

• Previous commercial truck driving experience.
• General mechanical knowledge.
• Ability to jump-start vehicles.
• Ability to operate manual-transmission vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport other drivers to destinations throughout the United States.
• Interact professionally with clients and drivers.
• Clean and maintain chase vehicles, inside and out.
• Check chase-vehicle fluids and tires before each trip.
• Maintain chase-vehicle maintenance logs and repair records.
• Use proper safety restraints and ensure passengers are wearing safety restraints.
• Follow state laws regarding safe driving.
• Assist CDL drivers with preparing trucks for transport.
• Drive trucks through the sales arena on sale days.
• Use online payroll systems for timekeeping.
