CVR has offices in Atlanta, Chicago, Milwaukee, New York, San Francisco and Tampa, to name a few. CVR Associates is looking for an HCV Program Supervisor to lead a team of Housing Specialists and support staff. In this role, you'll combine people management with program oversight—ensuring exceptional customer service, compliance with HUD regulations, and smooth day-to-day operations. It’s a leadership role with real impact.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in business, public administration, social work, or a related field
  • 3+ years of supervisory or management experience (HCV or affordable housing preferred)
  • A working knowledge of HUD’s HCV Program, including HQS and rent calculation
  • Comfort balancing a high-volume workload while keeping your team focused and supported
  • Confidence communicating with clients, landlords, property owners, and internal partners
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills—you know how to plan and pivot
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, especially when reviewing casework
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and a knack for learning housing or case management systems

Nice To Haves

  • HCV Occupancy and Rent Calculation Certification (or can obtain within 6 months)
  • Experience working with housing software like YARDI or Rent Café
  • Familiarity with performance metrics, quality control audits, and compliance tracking
  • A track record of fostering collaboration, inclusion, and team growth

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support HCV program staff, assigning caseloads and ensuring timely, accurate work
  • Coach team members and provide hands-on training, especially in onboarding and policy updates
  • Monitor performance and productivity using reporting tools and quality control reviews
  • Troubleshoot complex cases, support escalations, and serve as a go-to resource for your team
  • Oversee key functions like annual/interim recertification's, moves, HAP contracts, and lease enforcement
  • Analyze reports, spot trends, and prepare regular updates for leadership
  • Assist in implementing new policies and ensuring they’re understood across the team
  • Maintain compliance with all relevant regulations and uphold the highest standards of service
