About The Position

This position within the Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) will be responsible for various administrative duties related to the Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) Program. The department's mission is to produce and preserve affordable housing for Loudoun County's diverse residents by implementing safe and affordable rental and homeownership opportunities, promoting community development, and advocating for impactful programs that meet evolving housing needs. Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent and two (2) years of related clerical/administrative work experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Successful candidates will undergo background checks as required.
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record when required for job-related duties.

Responsibilities

  • Enter/update application data in Excel spreadsheet.
  • Enter/update cases in software system.
  • Prepare and mail intake packets, recertification packets, and other program mailings.
  • Monitor the HCV email inbox, reply to basic programmatic questions, and distribute to other staff to respond as needed.
  • Upload paper documents to electronic files.
  • Follow up with participants and property owners to collect past due documentation.
  • Mail/email inspection notices.
  • Schedule new inspections with property owners and tenants.
  • Provide administrative review of program reports and documents for accuracy.
