About The Position

The HCIT Program Coordinator Intern will be embedded within ALKU’s Healthcare IT practice, supporting day-to-day program operations across Commercial and/or Federal client engagements. This role is designed for a motivated, detail-oriented student or recent graduate who wants hands-on exposure to real-world project management, Healthcare IT consulting, and business operations inside a fast-moving professional services environment.

Requirements

  • Current student or recent graduate in Business, Healthcare Administration, Health Informatics, Public Health, or a related field
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through
  • Comfortable with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Outlook, Teams)
  • Clear communicator— written and verbal — with a professional, team-first mindset
  • Genuinely curious about healthcare technology and how IT-enabled solutions improve patient care delivery

Nice To Haves

  • experience with project tracking tools is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Support weekly tracking of consultant hours against forecasted allocations, flag variances, and help maintain accurate project-level reporting for Commercial and Federal engagements.
  • Assist with collecting, tracking, and reconciling project-related expenses, ensuring timely submission and compliance with client and ALKU billing requirements.
  • Coordinate and execute onboarding activities for incoming team members, including drafting welcome emails, managing onboarding checklists, coordinating system access, and sending allocation communications to relevant stakeholders.
  • Assist with identifying and coordinating meeting times across internal teams and client stakeholders.
  • Provide light facilitation support and capture meeting minutes, action items, and key decisions to ensure follow-through and accountability.
