We are currently seeking an experienced full-time housekeeper in our Health Center area of campus.

Requirements

Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, and perform simple arithmetic, uses a cash register and make change.
Must Be able to make beds, bend, stoop, twist, push pull carts and other physical movements.
Ability to communicate with, understand, empathize with, work with and be tolerant of residents, families, visitors, peers, supervisors, and subordinates.
Must be able to perform duties in a timely manner consistent with the needs of the residents, , and assigned schedules.
Must be able to understand and effectively support and apply DRV policies and procedures as they apply to circumstances that arise.
Must be able to communicate effectively with seniors, their guests and DRV staff members.
Must be able to work with chemicals safely.
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Must be able to perform the duties of a housekeeping in a health care setting.
Bending, lifting, twisting and stooping, pushing and pulling carts and vacuums.
Must be able to utilize critical thinking and display dependability and reliability in the workplace.

Responsibilities

Maintain a clean and fresh environment for residents and visitors.
Is responsible for the cleanliness of resident rooms and common areas of campus.
Vacuuming, mopping, cleaning, removing trash.
Making resident beds when needed or assigned.
Performs any of the essential housekeeping duties.
Ensures that all assigned areas are cleaned according to schedule.
Perform cleaning duties in assigned areas.
Always follow safety regulations and always follow established infection control and chemical safety protocol.
Cleans and maintains assigned work areas and equipment.
Maintains and ensures resident items are taken care of and cleaned as necessary.
Ensures that all documentation and check lists are competed daily as assigned.
Maintains acceptable standards of personal hygiene and complies with department dress code.
Attends in-service training and education sessions assigned.
Completed various side jobs as assigned.
