About The Position

RestorixHealth is hiring a full-time HBO Technician / EMT to provide Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy to referred patients. The technician conducts initial and ongoing age-specific assessments within designated time frames and provides therapy while operating and maintaining hyperbaric chambers. The role emphasizes outstanding customer service for patients, family members, referring physicians, and coworkers. Training and ongoing coaching are provided.

The position follows a Monday–Friday schedule with no weekends. Travel to other local centers for coverage or training may be required. RestorixHealth describes opportunities for career development and movement across functions and locations, as well as vertically and laterally.

Requirements

• Current, valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
• Certification as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT-B, EMT-I, EMT-CC, or EMT-P), Registered Nurse (RN), or Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse (LVN/LPN) in the state where the technician will work; other advanced medical certifications will be considered.
• Physical ability to perform CPR.
• Basic Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Nice To Haves

• CHT training or certification.
• Prior experience with wound care patients; training will be provided.
• Prior experience with an electronic medical records (EMR) system.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients referred for treatment.
• Participate in the department’s quality improvement plan and assist in collecting data for Quality Assurance and Education.
• Document care accurately and completely according to hospital and department policy.
• Provide therapy and operate, maintain, and clean hyperbaric chambers as required.
• Recognize changes in a patient’s condition and intervene appropriately.
• Enter patient treatment notes into RestorixHealth’s EMR system.
• Comply with HIPAA privacy and confidentiality policies and procedures.
• Follow patient safety initiatives and infection control procedures outlined in the hospital’s safety manual.
• Use hospital resources, supplies, and equipment appropriately.
• Travel to other local centers for coverage, training, or other required needs.
