About The Position

RestorixHealth is hiring a full-time HBO Technician / EMT to provide Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy to referred patients. The technician conducts initial and ongoing age-specific assessments within designated time frames and provides therapy while operating hyperbaric chambers. Training is provided for the HBO Technician role. The ideal candidate delivers outstanding customer service to patients, their family members, referring physicians, and coworkers.

The position follows a Monday–Friday schedule with no weekends. The technician may be required to travel to other local centers for coverage or training. Requirements

• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination by the date of hire.
• Valid and current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Valid CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
• Current state certification as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT-B, EMT-I, EMT-CC, or EMT-P), Registered Nurse (RN), or Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse (LVN/LPN), or another advanced medical certification considered by the employer.
• Basic skills in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Physical ability to perform CPR.

Nice To Haves

• CHT training or certification.
• Prior experience with wound care patients; training will be provided.
• Prior experience with an electronic medical records (EMR) system.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients referred for treatment.
• Participate in the department’s quality improvement plan and assist in collecting data for Quality Assurance and Education.
• Document all care accurately and completely according to hospital and department policy.
• Provide therapy and operate, maintain, and clean hyperbaric chambers as required.
• Recognize changes in a patient’s condition and intervene appropriately.
• Enter all patient treatment notes into RestorixHealth’s EMR system.
• Comply with HIPAA privacy and confidentiality policies and procedures.
• Follow patient safety initiatives and infection control procedures outlined in the hospital’s safety manual.
• Use hospital resources, supplies, and equipment appropriately.
• Travel to other local centers for coverage or training when required.
