About The Position

RestorixHealth is seeking a dedicated HBO Technician / EMT to provide Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy to referred patients. The role conducts initial and ongoing age-specific assessments, provides therapy, and operates hyperbaric chambers. The technician is expected to deliver outstanding customer service to patients, their family members, referring physicians, and coworkers. Training is provided, with ongoing educational opportunities to support success and career development.

Requirements

• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination by the date of hire.
• Current, valid BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Valid CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
• Valid state certification as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT-B, EMT-I, EMT-CC, or EMT-P), Registered Nurse (RN), or Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse (LVN/LPN); other advanced medical certifications will be considered.
• Basic Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Must be physically able to perform CPR.

Nice To Haves

• CHT training or certification.
• Prior experience with wound care patients; training will be provided.
• Prior experience with an electronic medical records (EMR) system.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients referred for treatment.
• Participate in the department’s quality improvement plan and assist with collecting data for Quality Assurance & Education.
• Document all care accurately and completely according to hospital and department policy.
• Provide therapy and operate, maintain, and clean hyperbaric chambers as required.
• Recognize changes in patients’ conditions and intervene appropriately.
• Enter all patient treatment notes into RHX’s EMR system.
• Comply with HIPAA privacy and confidentiality policies and procedures.
• Follow patient safety initiatives and infection control procedures in the hospital’s safety manual.
• Use hospital resources, supplies, and equipment appropriately.
• Travel to other local centers for coverage or training when required.
