HazMat Class A Driver

Maine Oxy•Mount Morris, NY
•$34 - $34

About The Position

Maine Oxy is hiring a full-time Class A HazMat Driver to deliver compressed gas cylinders and hard goods on scheduled regional routes. Drivers return empty cylinders for refilling, serve repeat customers, and help customers anticipate their cylinder needs. The role includes accurately maintaining load manifests and vehicle paperwork, completing and documenting pre-trip and post-trip inspections, complying with DOT and OSHA regulations, and keeping the truck clean and professional. The schedule departs Monday morning, with drivers on the road Monday through Thursday or Friday and home on weekends. Routes are divided into four zones, with one zone covered each week. Drivers stay in hotels rather than in a sleeper cab, typically spending three to four nights per week away depending on the zone. The position is full-time, year-round, day shift, with overtime typically available. The truck is a brand-new tractor and trailer. The role pays $34 per hour and offers a $3,000 sign-on bonus. Maine Oxy transports specialty gases used by medical and veterinary offices, breweries, welders, and other customers. Its 300-person team emphasizes collaboration, integrity, attention to detail, and safety. Maine Oxy is an equal opportunity employer and may provide reasonable accommodations to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the position.
