Haul Unit Operator
About The Position
Heidelberg Materials is one of the world's largest suppliers of building materials. Heidelberg Materials North America operates more than 450 locations across the U.S. and Canada and has approximately 9,000 employees. The Haul Unit Operator works in the Aggregates line of business, operating haul trucks and mobile equipment to support production and transporting raw materials around the site. The role requires safe work practices, equipment inspections, reporting maintenance needs, and collaboration with team members to support efficient operations. The position operates primarily in environments with moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise levels. Successful candidates must complete a post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check. Some positions require ongoing FMCSA-regulated drug and alcohol testing.
Requirements
- Ability to operate or learn to operate heavy mobile equipment safely.

- Willingness to follow instructions and adapt to changing production needs.

Responsibilities
- Safely operate haul trucks and mobile equipment to support production needs.
- Transport raw materials across the site accurately and carefully.
- Perform routine equipment inspections and report maintenance needs.
- Follow safety policies, procedures, and site regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to support efficient and continuous operations.
