About The Position

This role involves ensuring the proper vaccination of chicks, accurate counting of hatched birds, and maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment. The position requires physical stamina to handle heavy loads and work in a dusty environment, as well as adherence to biosecurity and safety rules. Occasional overtime and holiday work may be required. Applicants must complete a separate task after submitting their application to be considered for employment. Requirements

Must be able to lift baskets weighing 25 lbs. to a height of more than 80 inches.
Must be able to push/pull carts weighing in excess of 1,000 lbs. on rollers.
Must not own a flock of poultry (unless Tyson flock).
Must be able to work in a dusty environment.
Must be able to work most holidays.
Must be able to work well with others, without supervision.
Occasional overtime.
May be subject to rotation.
All applicants must complete the final task that is separate from the application.
Former Tyson Team Members must be separated from the company for a minimum of 180 calendar days.

Responsibilities

Mix correct dosage of New Castle bronchitis vaccine prior to the beginning of chick run.
Keep vaccine bags at adequate levels to assure all chicks are receiving the vaccine.
Make a random physical count of chicks in baskets to assure accuracy of machine counters (check between 5-20 baskets on each line throughout the day).
Write down chick count numbers on the counter reconciliation and injury report sheet.
At each flock change, compare actual hatched and percentage on the daily hatch sheet.
After run is complete, verify actual number hatched, complete daily sheet, and turn it in to supervisor.
Clean and sanitize counters and conveyor system.
Wash overhead fans and ventilation ducts.
Wash and clean floor.
Abide by all biosecurity rules.
Abide by all departmental safety rules.
Complete any required tasks after submitting the application.
