About The Position
This position is responsible for performing various hatchery tasks while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. The role involves culling unthrifty chicks from the chick line to ensure healthy chicks are sent to broilers. It also includes cleaning and sanitizing various areas and equipment within the facility, such as incubation machines, hallways, drains, and other specified locations. The job requires the ability to perform physical tasks with or without reasonable accommodation and involves working in an environment with temperature extremes and high humidity.
Requirements
- Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
- Must be able to work all holidays which occur on a scheduled workday.
- 180-day wait period from last termination date.
- 3X rule (candidates cannot have worked for Tyson 3X before).
- Hourly Applicants ONLY - must complete the task after submitting an application to provide additional information to be considered for employment.
- Certain roles at Tyson require background checks. If offered a position that requires a background check, additional documentation will be provided.
Responsibilities
- Culling unthrifty chicks from the chick line during the process to help send a healthy chick to broilers.
- Cleaning and sanitizing the inside and outside of incubation machines, hallways, plenum hallway, drains, and various other locations throughout the facility.
- Performing any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
- Maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
