About The Position

This is a full-time position at the ITC Hatchery, requiring a flexible work schedule. The role involves setting eggs, moving heavy racks of product, and maintaining a clean and safe workspace. Responsibilities include operating machinery, counting, reading, cleaning, and practicing safe egg and chick handling according to Animal Welfare Guidelines. The job requires the ability to perform physical tasks for extended periods in varying temperatures and humidity, with exposure to allergens. A background check, including an Animal Welfare background check, is required. Applicants must reside in specific counties in AR or OK, within a 50-mile radius of the facility, and must not own any domestic, wild, or exotic fowl.

Requirements

  • Must have 6 months consecutive work history with one employer within the previous 12 months
  • Must not own, possess, or otherwise maintain any domestic, wild or exotic fowl
  • Animal Welfare background check is required
  • Applicants must be able to lift approximately 30 lbs. occasionally
  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, stretch, climb, push, pull and reach for long periods of time- up to 10 + hours a shift
  • Must be able to work in an area with a high concentration of allergens such as chick down, dust etc.
  • Will be working in a climate ranging from cold to hot temperatures with high humidity
  • Must have a flexible schedule
  • Only applicants from the following counties in Arkansas will be considered: Washington, Benton, Madison and Adair County in OK or within a 50-mile radius of the facility
  • The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation

Responsibilities

  • Setting eggs
  • Moving racks of product weighing approximately 900 lbs. or greater consistently throughout the day, approximately 48 racks, and or boxes throughout the facility
  • Maintaining a clean and safe workspace
  • Operating machinery
  • Counting, reading, scrubbing, soaping, rinsing, disinfecting, mopping, or buffing to meet all sanitation requirements
  • Practicing safe and delicate egg and chick handling
  • Promoting and practicing proper Animal Welfare Guidelines
  • Completing all tasks or duties as assigned by management
