About The Position

This role is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of hatchery equipment. The shift requires working Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 6 AM to 6 PM. Responsibilities include inspecting equipment for proper cleaning, reporting any equipment damage to supervision, and assisting in other departmental areas as needed. The job requires the ability to lift approximately 50 pounds, bend, squat, and climb repeatedly, extensive hand use, prolonged standing, and adaptability to various work environments including waste, debris, and varying temperatures. Essential skills include oral communication, critical thinking, adherence to company standards, knowledge of equipment and cleaning procedures (SSOP), chemical knowledge, and understanding of GMPs, dress code, and safety rules. Core competencies include Safety, Quality, Yield, Cost, and Relationships.

Requirements

  • Ability to lift approximately 50 pounds (occasionally more)
  • Ability to bend, squat, and climb repeatedly for an entire shift
  • Job requires extensive use of the hands for long periods of time
  • Long periods of standing
  • Ability to adapt to varying work environments, such as waste, debris, wet, and cold or hot temperature
  • Ability to ascend/descend/work at various heights
  • Oral communication and critical thinking
  • Adherence to Company standards
  • Knowledge of all equipment and cleaning procedures (SSOP)
  • Knowledge of chemicals in plant
  • Good knowledge of GMP’s, dress code, and safety rules

Responsibilities

  • Inspect equipment in their area to ensure proper cleaning
  • Report any damage to equipment to supervision
  • Assist in other departmental areas as needed
