About The Position

This role is responsible for providing a safe work atmosphere for employees, ensuring the processing crew has and uses all prescribed Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). The position focuses on producing quality products for internal and external customers by supervising the day-to-day operations of the processing staff and chick room. Key responsibilities include ensuring all programs and procedures for processing and the chick room are followed to achieve goals related to hatch, Hatch of Flock (HOF), and chick quality. The supervisor must ensure the correct operation of all processing equipment, adhering to protocols for startup, operation, and cleanup. Additionally, the role involves ensuring the correct mixing and application of all vaccines, adherence to all safety programs, and tracking/documenting hatch data for each flock. The supervisor will record all data for hatch and chick placement in operating systems, generate reports associated with processing operations, supervise chick delivery teams, communicate with Grow Out on delivery schedules, and manage inventory and tracking of operating supplies and vaccines.

Requirements

• High School Diploma.
• 2-3 years' related work experience.
• Business Acumen, ability to process and perform basic math duties.
• Good communication skills, ability to supervise and lead staff.
• Ability to learn new skills, adapt to change.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day operations of processing staff and chick room.
• Ensure all programs and procedures for the processing and chick room are followed to achieve goals on hatch, HOF and chick quality.
• Supervise processing operation, handling chick delivery and schedules.
• Generate all reports associated with processing operations.
• Provide direction and support to labor and staffing to ensure all safety and operational goals are met.
• Ensure correct mixing and application of vaccines.
• Provide safe work atmosphere for employees, ensuring processing crew has and are using all prescribed PPE.
