About The Position
This role is responsible for the construction, maintenance, and testing of mechanical equipment, machinery, and components within the hatchery. The position involves identifying parts or machines needing replacement, utilizing shop mathematics, and interpreting drawings to adjust, maintain, or repair machinery. The maintenance technician will respond to production area requests for mechanical assistance, diagnose problems in collaboration with production management, and perform preventive maintenance. A key aspect of the role is completing tasks accurately and efficiently, managing both time and resources effectively.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required
- Knowledge of industrial manufacturing equipment/electrical understanding
- General mathematic ability required to perform job
- Ability to read and interpret documents and drawings
- Basic knowledge of standard and metric measures
- Must be able to work assigned days/shifts (including rotating on call weekends)
