About The Position

This is a part-time, one-day-a-week position, primarily working on Tuesdays from 6 am until the day's work is completed, averaging 8 hours. The role is located at the Sawyer Warsaw Hatchery. Associates will be responsible for handling eggs, transferring them to incubator trays, and then moving hatched ducklings to boxes. This includes counting ducklings and supplying them to other workers for sexing, grading, and inspection. The position also involves gender selecting, data entry, processing, and cleanup on hatch days.

Requirements

• Ability to work one day a week, primarily on Tuesdays
• Availability to work from 6 am until the day is finished, averaging 8 hours

Responsibilities

• Places eggs in incubator trays
• Transfers trays from incubator to hatchery
• Removes paper wads from between eggs to make room for hatching
• Transfers hatched ducklings from trays to boxes
• Counts out prescribed number of ducklings to each box section
• Supplies baby ducks to other workers for sexing, grading, and inspection
