About The Position

This position is for the Harvest Room Labor role on the 1st shift. The pay rate is $18.00/hour, and the schedule is from 5:00 AM until production ends. The role requires a strong commitment to safety, including understanding job safety analysis, promoting a safety culture, and training in safety hazard recognition and department safety inspections. The individual will act as a "Safety Leader" promoting the company's safety culture. Responsibilities include hanging up to 28 birds a minute in rotation with two other people, keeping the area clean, and performing other duties as assigned by a supervisor. The job will require performing all jobs on the back dock. The work environment is dusty, hot, wet, cold, and humid. Physical requirements include full use of hands and arms, repetitive motion, standing for long periods, good hand/eye coordination, pulling, pushing, bending, walking, stooping, reaching, gripping, squatting, and lifting up to 40 lbs or more. Applicants must provide their government identification number to verify Tyson employment history. This facility accepts rehires after 365 days if they have not worked for Tyson more than two previous times. Tyson reserves the right to require longer waiting periods or not accept rehires based on the reason for dismissal.
