About The Position

This position involves working in a low-lighting environment where the team member will be reaching to a moving conveyor belt at their workstation. The role requires grasping live birds weighing from two to excess of 8 pounds, lifting the bird from the belt to a suspended moving shackle line conveyor, and placing both legs of the bird into a shackle. The line speed is approximately 105 birds per minute, requiring the hanging of approximately 27 birds per minute. The job is performed inside a facility that is noisy, dusty, and may contain feathers and debris. There are moving objects and mechanical and electrical hazards present. The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Requirements

• Good manipulation required to reach, grasp, lift and hang birds into moving shackles.
• Visual monitor shackles to be able to hang approx every 4th shackle.
• Standing majority of shift.
• Use required PPE.
• Background check required.
• Must complete the task after submitting an application to provide additional information to be considered for employment.
• Willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
