Domaine Le Clos Jordanne is a Burgundian inspired winery here in the heart of Niagara, Canada. Through the lens of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay we aim to tease out a sense of Niagara’s terroir through careful vineyard and block selection along with a minimal intervention winemaking approach at the Domaine. Traditionally farmed, our fruit comes completely from our own vineyards, a selection of some of Niagara’s finest Benchland sites spread across three distinct sub-appellations, Beamsville Bench, Twenty Mile Bench, and Vine Mount Ridge. We are looking for a team of four experienced wine lovers and cellar hands to assist in ‘Les Vendanges 2026’ as Harvest Interns. This role is responsible for performing all cellar related activities as part of the winemaking process at harvest. This is a great opportunity to make premium wines in a premium facility. This position runs between September 1st through to November 27th, 2026. Who You Are: A Self-Motivated & Determined Worker. Possesses a strong work ethic and genuine passion for wine, ready to tackle the long, physical hours required during harvest, from cleaning tanks to operating the crusher. A Punctual & Proactive Team Player. Consistently punctual and organized, with excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with the winemaking team, report fermentation issues, and go above and beyond to get the job done. Eager & Enthusiastic to Learn. Approaches every task, from inoculations to daily temperature checks, with a willingness to learn new techniques and procedures, and isn't afraid to ask questions to deepen their understanding. Detail-Oriented & Safety-Focused. Understands that cleanliness is paramount in quality winemaking and takes pride in maintaining a spotless environment, while possessing the organization and focus to manage multiple tasks and follow safety protocols.

Requirements

  • Winemaking and Viticulture Diploma or equivalent.
  • Less than 1 year of experience.
  • ISO 9001:2000, HACCP, GMP, Winemaking, and WHMIS certifications.
  • Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Strong ability to follow written instructions.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Strong People skills and a team player.
  • Multi-tasking ability.
  • Goal oriented.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Must be able and willing to work overtime as required.
  • Shift work is necessary.
  • Ability to lift and move up to and including 50lbs.
  • Able to work at heights (catwalk).
  • Able to work within noisy work environments.
  • Outdoor work may be required, in all weather conditions.

Nice To Haves

  • Sorting on the sorting table.
  • Hand harvested fruit experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in grape sampling and analysis.
  • Operate equipment on the crush pad and cellars to press grapes and clarify juice.
  • Perform racking, transferring, and blending of wine/juice.
  • Assist with additions for juice, ferments, and possibly finished wines.
  • Perform pump overs / punch downs for daily cap management.
  • Clean various sized tanks, totes, bins, crushing equipment, barrels, and floors.
  • Perform barrel maintenance, sulphur, cleaning, rehydrating, filling, and storing of red/white barrels.
  • Assist in receiving/ preparing new barrels for production.
  • Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned or required.
