About The Position

Wing is seeking a Hardware Test Engineer Intern to join its Electrical Engineering team in Palo Alto, California. The role is part of a 12-week paid summer internship program for current students who intend to return to their degree program after the internship. The program is hybrid and in-person, with start dates in May or June. The intern will help optimize avionics for compatibility with wireless systems. Work includes hands-on benchtop testing and analysis of flight logs to identify and debug desense issues, followed by designing, implementing, and verifying hardware solutions. The role calls for an understanding of electromagnetics, wireless systems, electrical circuit design, prototyping, and analysis, as well as comfort working in a dynamic team environment. Wing designs, builds, and operates automated delivery aircraft and provides drone delivery services. It is part of Alphabet, Google's parent company. Wing describes its mission as creating the preferred means of delivery for the planet.
