About The Position

Treeswift is looking for a reliable, hands-on Hardware Repair technician based in San Francisco to keep our hardware running in the real world. You'll be the person on the ground — diagnosing issues, making repairs, and ensuring our devices perform at their best wherever they're deployed.

Requirements

• Comfortable working independently in the field and representing Treeswift with customers
• Hands-on experience with tools and electronics
• Detail-oriented and methodical — you follow a process and don't cut corners
• Strong communicator — you're comfortable communicating with customers on site and relaying clear information back to the team
• Based in San Francisco with personal vehicle and a consistent record of dependability/punctuality

Nice To Haves

• Experience with soldering, hardware diagnostics, or electronics repair is a plus

Responsibilities

• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair our hardware systems (LiDAR, sensors, cameras, power units)
• Visit PG&E offices across California to retrieve, assess, and return devices
• Follow diagnostic checklists and resolve issues before they escalate
• Communicate directly with utility staff in a professional, customer-facing capacity
• Coordinate with our engineering team to flag recurring issues and share field feedback
