Hardware Support Technician
About The Position
Plaza Motors, a part of MileOne Autogroup, is expanding its internal IT team and is hiring a part-time IT Hardware Support Technician. This role involves working both independently and as part of a team to complete daily tasks in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. The technician will be responsible for providing IT software support, hardware installation, and hardware maintenance, offering support both over the phone and on-site for end-users. The position will support dealership/retail and corporate locations in and around St. Louis, with all travel being compensated.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of Information Technology (IT) field service experience
- Thorough knowledge of hardware products and software capabilities; Apple products preferred
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Knowledge of Internet protocols, access methods, and equipment
- Must be self-motivated and self-directed
- Must be willing to answer calls after normal working hours
- Ability to lift 50 lbs

Responsibilities
- Install and configure computer & phone equipment, including site preparation
- Install and configure network and printer devices
- Perform diagnostics, repairs, upgrades and ongoing support for PC hardware
- Review and maintain current virus protection updates during onsite visits
- Perform diagnostics, repair and ongoing support for software including MAC, Windows 10 desktops, Unix, Linux, Terminal Servers, Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange and manufacturer web portals
- Assist in managing administrative tasks such as physical inventory of hardware and software license compliance
- Cell phone and other various Telecom support, training, installation
- Escalate to Tier 2 as needed
