The Role We are seeking a detail-oriented and hands-on Hardware Manufacturing Technician to join our first-in-class manufacturing team. Reporting to the Hardware Manufacturing Manager, this role is responsible for building, testing, and troubleshooting Biolog’s laboratory instrumentation products. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a collaborative, cross-functional environment and is passionate about life science tools and advanced hardware systems.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • Hands-on experience in manufacturing or assembly of lab instrumentation (preferred)
  • Strong mechanical, electrical, and/or system-level troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with hand tools, measuring instruments, soldering, wiring, and optical alignment
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and assembly/test documentation
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication skills in a team-based environment

Responsibilities

  • Build, assemble, and test laboratory instrumentation products following established procedures
  • Construct sub-assemblies and components across mechanical, electrical, and optical systems
  • Inspect assemblies for defects, report issues, and perform rework as needed
  • Communicate process and assembly challenges to Leads and Supervisors (verbally and in writing)
  • Support continuous improvement efforts within manufacturing operations
