About The Position

This role is based in Evendale, OH, within GE Aerospace’s manufacturing programs organization. The team focuses on hardware ownership across the product lifecycle, ensuring technical, cost, delivery, and quality performance for assigned hardware. You will work at the interface of Engineering, Supply Chain, and customer-facing organizations, helping to ensure manufacturing readiness, execution, and delivery that meet program and customer commitments. The Senior Manufacturing Manager – Hardware Owner serves as the primary connection and interface between Engineering, Supply Chain, and customer-facing teams for assigned hardware. You will provide leadership across technical, cost, delivery, and quality dimensions, support overall program planning, and translate those plans into clear requirements and milestones for hardware procurement and execution. This role has significant influence over commercial and operational priorities, requires strong commercial judgment, and involves participation in key forums such as Product Control Board (PCB), Tollgates, and Technical Reviews to drive product and manufacturing readiness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college, or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience providing leadership for assigned hardware (quality, delivery, cost, and technical requirements)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience providing leadership for assigned hardware, including quality, delivery, cost, and technical requirements
  • Able to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance

Responsibilities

  • Lead assigned hardware performance
  • Provide end-to-end leadership for assigned hardware, including technical requirements, cost, delivery, and quality performance.
  • Support definition of overall program plans and convert those plans into requirements, schedules, and milestones for hardware procurement and execution.
  • Serve as the manufacturing representative for PCB, Tollgate, and Technical Reviews for assigned hardware.
  • Ensure manufacturing perspectives, risks, and constraints are clearly articulated and addressed in design and program decisions.
  • Develop specialized knowledge of the latest commercial and industry developments in your area and apply that knowledge to improve approaches, projects, and programs.
  • Contribute to strategy and policy development and ensure effective execution within your area of responsibility.
  • Leverage in-depth knowledge of best practices and how your area integrates with others, including awareness of competition and differentiating factors.
  • Use sound judgment to make decisions and solve moderately complex tasks or problems within projects, product lines, and customer contexts.
  • Take new perspectives on existing solutions and use technical experience and data analysis to develop and support recommendations.
  • Utilize multiple internal and selected external sources to arrive at well-informed decisions.
  • Act as a resource for colleagues with less experience and, as needed, lead small projects with moderate risk and resource requirements.
