About The Position

As MOIA America, we develop and realize fully autonomous mobility and transportation services. Our mission is to make mobility-and transportation-as-a-service safe, accessible and most attractive for society. For that, we cover the entire ground from strategy and business development, software development and end-2-end integration, fleet operations to next-generation self-driving systems. Being the driver in Volkswagen Group initiative for mobility solutions, we’re an integral part of Volkswagen Group's future success. A rollout management role responsible for planning and executing the deployment of upload stations and connectivity across multiple cities and hubs. The role coordinates local operations, IT hardware partners, MNOs, connectivity teams, and engineering stakeholders to ensure site readiness, installation, commissioning, and smooth vehicle ramp‑up. The position focuses on end‑to‑end rollout execution, managing dependencies between the end customer, product teams and local suppliers, ensuring reliable operations from test deployments through production rollout. This role combines hands‑on rollout coordination, technical alignment, and stakeholder management to deliver consistent and scalable deployments across locations.

  • Proven experience in technical rollout, deployment, or operations management, ideally across multiple locations (e.g. cities, hubs, or sites), coordinating installation, go‑live, and stabilization phases
  • Understanding of 5G, LTE, Wi-Fi, eSIM, IMS, roaming, and network performance metrics
  • Experience working with MNOs and telecom ecosystems
  • Knowledge of vehicle connectivity, telematics, and ECU integration
  • Understanding of end-to-end IoT/connected systems (device ↔ cloud)
  • Hands‑on understanding of physical + IT system deployments, including site readiness, hardware installation, connectivity validation, and basic troubleshooting during rollout
  • Experience in defining test strategies, field validation, and production readiness
  • Familiarity with drive testing, stability testing, and KPI validation
  • Strong ability to coordinate cross‑functional stakeholders (local operations, infrastructure, networking, vendors, and central engineering teams) to ensure on‑time and consistent rollouts.
  • Defect tracking: JIRA, HP ALM
  • Program tracking: dashboards, reporting tools
  • Familiarity with CI/CD, OTA systems, and release pipelines

Nice To Haves

  • Masters in Information Technology, Computer Science (or related education)
  • Deep understanding of MNO operations, roaming agreements, and inter-operator dependencies
  • Experience with network performance optimization and service assurance frameworks
  • Experience managing large-scale telecom contracts and vendor negotiations
  • Strong understanding of SLA design, KPI frameworks, and penalty/incentive models
  • Exposure to RFP/RFQ processes and supplier selection strategies
  • Experience in fleet operations, ride-sharing, or mobility platforms
  • Understanding of vehicle lifecycle management and large-scale fleet deployment challenges
  • Exposure to telematics platforms and real-time fleet monitoring systems
  • Experience with vehicle, fleet, or IoT‑related infrastructure deployments (e.g. charging infrastructure, data offloading stations, edge devices, or similar systems).
  • Familiarity with standardized rollout playbooks, documentation, and rollout KPIs, and the ability to continuously improve rollout processes across locations.

Responsibilities

  • Define rollout timelines, milestones, dependencies, and deployment sequences
  • Ensure readiness across upload station hardware, connectivity interfaces, vehicle systems, and operations
  • Coordinate installation, commissioning, and handover of upload station IT hardware
  • Ensure site readiness including power, space, network access, and physical security
  • Align upload station availability with vehicle ramp‑up and operational usage
  • Coordinate connectivity readiness with MNOs and internal connectivity teams for each rollout site
  • Ensure SIM/eSIM provisioning, network availability, and basic performance readiness are in place for rollout
  • Support SLA/KPI monitoring during rollout and early operations (availability, throughput, incident handling)
  • Drive alignment between local operations, vehicle teams, backend/platform teams, upload station vendors, and connectivity stakeholders
  • Coordinate suppliers and third‑party partners during rollout execution
  • Provide regular rollout status updates, risk tracking, and escalations
