Ralliant•Fairport, NY
•$81,500 - $151,300

About The Position

As a Hardware Engineer within the Transformers Value Stream, you will help drive new technology initiatives and Qualitrol’s new product development and sustaining initiatives. You will work on multiple projects with internal and external resources to deliver quality products that meet customer needs. The role covers all facets of development, from requirements specification through validation, verification, and deployment, and includes responsibility for product quality, reliability, and feature completion. You will use SAFe Agile development methods and the Scrum framework to deliver customer-facing monitoring systems, sensors, and solutions for utility and industrial customers. The role calls for a thorough understanding of electrical design principles for analog and digital circuits. You will support the product implementation cycle, including requirements analysis; high-level and detailed design, including PCBA layout; implementation; testing; integration; documentation; compliance certification; and introduction to production in coordination with the architecture team. You will work with cross-functional groups including hardware architecture, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, logistics engineering, product management, and program management. You will also support advanced technology initiatives for next-generation sensors and sensing platforms, as well as sustaining improvements to existing products. The position is part of Ralliant’s R&D team and focuses on developing next-generation sensing and monitoring solutions for industrial and utility applications. The successful candidate will bring a foundation in analog and digital circuit design, embedded systems, and communication protocols, and a focus on robust, field-ready hardware platforms.
