Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering or a related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or in a Hardware Engineer-related occupation.
Performing measurements to validate that designs meet established safety design specifications
Systems architecture design or system-level design for product safety systems, testability and reliability,
Printed Circuit Board (PCB) design for product safety.
Utilizing oscilloscopes, hi-pot testers, electronic loads, to validate safety compliance requirements
Obtaining international product safety approvals

Responsibilities

Work closely with hardware design teams and suppliers to understand new project architectures, and determine the appropriate safety standards and regulations
Apply hazard based safety engineering principles to evaluate the hazards, and provide feedback to the design team to mitigate those hazards
Develop test plans, lead a compliance testing team to extract key data to ensure all safety goals are met in accordance with relevant standards and specifications, and communicate and document findings, risks and recommendations
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve discrepancies and implement design improvements to further safety goals
Perform failure analysis of deployed products. Help in developing strategy and roadmap for Safety initiatives to support power, cooling and data center infrastructure.
