About The Position

The Hardware Engineer Sr. will be supporting all of the Machinery Controls and Automation programs within RMS. This position will be responsible for coordinating with a multi-disciplinary team to meet the needs of the customer including system troubleshooting both in the Controls lab and on ship, artifact development, hardware design, and more. Occasional travel to shipyard(s) may be required. This position requires the ability obtain and maintain a DoD government clearance at the Secret level.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or STEM related discipline
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in hardware engineering
  • Experience with hardware/software integration and troubleshooting
  • Experience with PLCs (i.e. Ladder Logic in general, Rockwell, Wago, Siemens)
  • Knowledge of protocols and related devices (i.e. PFB, Serial, MBS, Ethernet, RTD)
  • Ability to interpret electrical and mechanical schematics and engineering documentation
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret level clearance
  • Must be a US Citizen

  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem solving skills
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
  • Knowledge of Navy systems, DoD acquisition, or maritime platforms
  • Ability to lead technical teams, drive decisions, and manage technical risk
  • Experience developing test reports (i.e. Shock, Vibe, EMI, Airborne Noise)
