Hardware Design Engineer

Apple•Sunnyvale, CA

About The Position

As part of the Wireless Hardware group, the Hardware Design Engineer designs, integrates, and verifies digital interfaces and power delivery for wireless subsystems. The role spans the end-to-end hardware design lifecycle, from architecture definition and schematic design through bring-up, characterization, and production validation. The engineer works with internal silicon, software, and platform teams, as well as external chipset vendors, to integrate wireless SoCs into Apple products. The work supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, UWB, NFC, and emerging wireless technologies across Apple products. The role calls for a strong foundation in digital interfaces, power distribution networks, firmware, and system-level debugging; comfort working in a lab and writing bare-metal firmware for hardware validation; and international travel of approximately 15% for build and bring-up activities.
