The Hardware Configuration Specialist will be responsible for independently performing hardware setup, software loading, and firmware updates to ensure devices are ready for deployment. This role is crucial for maintaining inventory accuracy, meeting quality standards for configurations, and contributing to process improvements to ensure smooth operations.
Requirements
- Proven knowledge of Android OS, POS hardware, and configuration processes.
- Hands-on experience with EloView, Paxstore, ChefTab, and FreshKDS systems.
- Strong organization, accuracy, and documentation skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve basic configuration issues.
- Understanding of warehouse inventory systems and data accuracy practices.
- Fluent in English (written and verbal).
- Work authorization in the U.S. is required.
Nice To Haves
- Associate degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related fields preferred.
- Certifications in Supply Chain Management or Lean methodologies preferred.
- Additional languages are preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Configure and update hardware to meet specifications for deployment.
- Maintain 99%+ accuracy in configuration, serial number tracking, and documentation.
- Identify and quarantine DOA or unconfigurable hardware and report findings.
- Ensure proper bin placement and labeling for configured equipment.
- Conduct QA checks to verify firmware and software accuracy before release.
- Collaborate with shipping and deployment teams to meet order timelines.
- Suggest improvements that reduce configuration errors or lead times.
- Deliver high-quality, accurate work and outcomes by consistently adhering to documented processes, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and checklists.
- Review and verify outcomes before submission to maintain consistency and high-quality standards.
- Identify and address process gaps or errors to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.
