Hardscape Foreman/Crew Member
About The Position
Landscaping by J. Michael is hiring an experienced Foreman and Crew members to work on commercial and residential landscaping projects across the South Shore of Massachusetts. The Foreman leads an on-site crew and helps ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. Work includes laying out projects and installing walkways, patios, natural stone walls, bluestone, pavers, and segmented walls. The role also involves operating equipment and tools, and helping maintain equipment and vehicles. The company offers year-round work, including participation in snow operations.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in masonry and landscape construction.
- A valid Massachusetts driver’s license.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DOT medical card.
- A strong work ethic and the ability to lead by example.
Nice To Haves
- Hydraulic license.
- CDL B.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the crew, helping ensure everyone is set up for success each day.
- Lay out projects and guide the team through installations.
- Build walkways, patios, natural stone walls, bluestone, pavers, and segmented walls.
- Operate skid steers, mini excavators, compactors, saws, and other tools.
- Help maintain equipment and vehicles, keeping them clean, safe, and in good working order.
- Participate in snow operations.
