About The Position

Perform routine and preventative maintenance tasks across commercial buildings. The role involves minor carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, wall repair, and painting. The Handyman manages daily work orders, communicates with project managers, maintains tools and materials, and follows safety procedures and building regulations.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience as a Maintenance Technician or in a relevant role is preferred.
• Working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, tile, and painting.
• Valid driver’s license for use of a company vehicle.
• Strong independence, problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and customer-service orientation.
• Ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and safely navigate crawl spaces or tight areas.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance across commercial buildings.
• Handle minor carpentry, including installing cabinets, building furniture, fixing or hanging doors, and repairing walls.
• Fix clogged drains and leaks, replace or repair plumbing fixtures, and maintain toilets and urinals.
• Troubleshoot electrical systems and replace light bulbs, ballasts, switches, and receptacles.
• Patch, spackle, sand, and paint walls.
• Manage, update, and close out daily work orders efficiently, while maintaining clear communication with project managers.
• Manage tools, materials, and the company vehicle; ensure supplies are stocked and replenished as needed.
• Follow applicable safety procedures and building regulations to protect investments and maintain a safe work environment.
