About The Position

The Hands of the Ancestors Supervisor provides leadership, guidance, and oversight for a 6-bed residential program serving Native American teenage girls. This position is responsible for creating a safe, culturally grounded, and supportive environment that promotes healing, growth, and positive life outcomes. The Supervisor leads the daily operations of the program while coaching, mentoring, and developing staff to ensure high-quality, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive care. Primary responsibilities include planning, organizing, supervising, communicating, and coordinating all aspects of program operations to achieve organizational goals and meet the unique needs of the youth served. The Supervisor oversees staff scheduling, provides ongoing training and performance coaching, supports professional development, and fosters a collaborative, accountable, and mission-driven team culture. The Supervisor also provides leadership in case management oversight, ensuring individualized services are coordinated effectively and align with each youth's goals, cultural identity, and overall well-being. Working closely with Tahnahga Meyers, Cultural Director, the Supervisor helps integrate culturally relevant programming, traditional teachings, and Native values into the daily operations of the program, ensuring youth have meaningful opportunities to strengthen their cultural identity and connection to community. The supervisor collaborates with internal teams, community partners, families, and Tribal representatives to ensure services are holistic, culturally respectful, and strength-based. Additional responsibilities include monitoring program quality, maintaining compliance with organizational policies and licensing requirements, supporting crisis response, promoting continuous improvement, and serving as a positive role model for both staff and youth. The Supervisor is expected to uphold the mission and values of the organization while fostering an environment of respect, empowerment, cultural connection, and healing. This is an exempt leadership position within the organization and plays a key role in the successful implementation, operation, and continued growth of the Hands of the Ancestors 6-bed residential program.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree plus one (1) year of experience in residential treatment OR Two (2) years' experience in other related human services work.
Commitment to helping fulfill the mission of building brighter futures for children and families.
Passion for providing quality mental health treatment programs.
Professional and highly trained staff.
