About The Position

As a Handover Manager, you will report directly to the District Handover Manager, and will administer the District Handover SOP and associated Project Handover Plans. In this role, you will be responsible for assuring that quality standards and procedures are disseminated and implemented throughout the company. You will perform and report on internal quality system audits and assists in the overall administration of the internal audit program. Eastern Canada District's projects include highways, bridges, mass transit, mine site development & open pit operations, hydroelectric powerhouses, wind-power plants, dams & industrial. We serve the construction and mining industries and operate in Eastern Canada. This position is based in Toronto, ON. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, welding technology or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a related position in construction.
  • Ability to freely access all points of a construction site in a wide-ranging climates and environments.
  • Highly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for excellence and taking initiative.
  • Strong work ethic, willing to do what it takes to get the job done right the first time.
  • Demonstrated commitment to ethics and integrity.
  • Passion for safety, with the ability to help us ensure that nobody gets hurt.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of quality control procedures relating to construction activities is preferred.
  • Experience with Smart Completions Software a plus

Responsibilities

  • Review project documentation, including drawings, manuals, and specifications.
  • Coordinate and compile as-built drawings and documentation.
  • Maintain records of changes and deviations from original submissions.
  • Oversee commissioning database management to ensure system testing and functionality.
  • Generate reports on commissioning status and pending items.
  • Identify and document incomplete work or deficiencies.
  • Coordinate with Operations to address punch list items before handover.
  • Provide training to the operations and maintenance team.
  • Ensure the receiving team understands all aspects of the project.
  • Act as the primary point of contact between construction, subcontractors, and operations.
  • Facilitate clear communication among stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint presentations.
  • Above-average knowledge of handover software.
