About The Position

Our Beaumont, Texas location is looking for a Manager/Assistant Manager to oversee and support a Home Improvement operation. This role is ideal for someone who has a proven track record of meeting sales targets, enjoys teamwork, and is comfortable coaching and inspiring others to give their best while building strong relationships, and achieving overall team goals. The ideal candidate is a high energy, self-motivated, dynamic person who values individual and team achievement. Candidates must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with a continued focus on in-store traffic as well as digital lead channels to help clients engaged in home building projects to find the best of our products and services. Successful candidates will be highly organized, flexible, self-starters who possess strong coaching skills and can develop employees, drive engagement, and get consistent results.

Requirements

  • 5+ years manager experience required with background in sales experience preferred.
  • Ability to remain calm during all situations; provide constructive feedback; able to inspire teamwork and respect.
  • Critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with typical office and point-of-sale software systems.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, and customer service skills.
  • Must possess the ability to train and motivate staff members.
  • Ability to work independently and under direction.
  • Exercise sound judgment with regards to issue escalation.
  • Outstanding customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of a team of sales representatives.
  • Collaborate with key department directors within the organization.
  • Consistently coach sales team to increase impact through improved communications and training.
  • Develop, train, evaluate and monitor sales representatives’ performance.
  • Coordinate projects to meet deadlines for sales and inventory.
  • Execute sales analysis, review sales reports, and suggest improvements.
  • Review customer satisfaction and take steps to be sure each client is completely satisfied.
  • Respond to issues, examine options and alternatives, and make informed decisions addressing problems as they arise.
  • Oversee regular inventory cycle counts.
