About The Position

The Handling Technician is responsible for the safe production, transfer and packaging of various raw materials and products for the Vernon, TX site.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• 1-2 years experience in production of chemicals preferred
• Ability to work 8 to 12 hours per shift standing, moving throughout facility
• Ability to communicate fluently in English
• Ability to utilize a computer and associated software
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs independently consistently throughout shift
• Basic math skills and be able to interpret lab results to make process changes.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in forklift operation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate valves, switches, levers and other control devices.
• Perform daily safety/housekeeping chores such as picking up, washing, sweeping and shoveling.
• May be required to operate different types of moving equipment such as trucks and forklifts.
• Provide the base for our fire and rescue squads and at times anyone may be asked and required to serve on these.
• Ability to turn in maintenance notifications in RCS on the equipment they are responsible for during their assigned shift.
• Operate equipment, transfer and package various materials, adjust and record process changes.
• Plant improvement team work.
• Training (SOPs, COPs, Active Learner, etc.).
• Cleaning and housekeeping.
