About The Position
The Material Handling Technician is responsible for shipping and receiving activities along with facility maintenance and inventory as related to branch requirements.
Requirements
- High School Diploma
- related two years of gate valve or wellhead assembly or rebuilding experience preferred
- Mechanical assembly/repair experience
- Forklift experience an asset
- Computer skills an asset
- Knowledge of Stream-Flo and/or competitors equipment would be an asset
- Strong mechanical aptitude, good work ethic and willingness to learn
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
- Strong communication (oral and written) skills
- Detail oriented, strong work ethic and good interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated, good organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Valid driver’s license
- applicants must participate in an alcohol and drug test and show compliance with Stream-Flo’s Alcohol and Drug Policy before being considered eligible for hire.
Responsibilities
- Contact transport companies to setup outgoing shipments and handle applicable paperwork
- Perform hotshot services to location as required
- Pick and distribute material for storage or shipping
- Ship and receive products and equipment
- Load/unload trucks with forklift and/or crane
- Organize and maintain the work area, including maintenance of equipment, product storage containers and racking
- Manage inventory by stocking incoming transferred items
- Perform regular cycle counts of new stock
- Paint products as required
- Perform other duties as assigned
