Requirements

  • Licensed Occupational Therapist (or ability to obtain in the state of practice)
  • Excellent work ethic and dedication to patient success
  • Basic computer skills
  • CPR and first aid certification required
  • Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) strongly preferred OR CHT-eligible (minimum 4,000 hours of hand therapy experience and 3 years of practice), awaiting board examination, OR Level II fieldwork in hand therapy, with relevant continuing education, and 1–2 years of outpatient hand therapy experience as a licensed OT, OR New grads with Level II fieldwork in hand therapy with a a strong clinical interest in upper extremity rehabilitation and a commitment to pursuing advanced training and certification in hand therapy
  • Experience treating orthopedic upper-extremity conditions across all age groups, with a primary focus on adult patients preferred

Responsibilities

  • Reviewing patient medical history and developing individualized treatment plans
  • Diagnosing patients by observing movements and listening to concerns
  • Using exercises, stretching, equipment, and manual therapy to manage pain and improve mobility
  • Recording patient progress and modifying treatment plans as needed
