About The Position

This is a weekend shift opportunity, 12 hour Days Friday - Sunday. The Weekend shift is eligible for a 10% shift differential on base pay. Effective June 1, 2026, there is a Sign-On Bonus of $4000, paid out: 1st half within 30 days, and 2nd half within 60 days once on Modern's payroll. This position will hand finish a wide variety of metal parts and castings for the Aerospace and Semi-Conductor industries. Uses hand and power tools to grind, sand, and clean parts to prepare for further finishing. Breaks edges and deburres.

Requirements

High school or GED.
Ability to use a wide variety of basic deburr and hand finish tools (right angle grinder, die grinder, orbital sanders) and equipment Air Pen, both manual and power.
Knowledge how to use of calipers, torque wrenches, helicoil, keensert, and Leeplug installation tools.
Steady hand-eye coordination.
Ability to lift 30 lbs.
Ability to work standing for periods of time.
May involve twisting/turning of upper body.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Must wear personal protective equipment at all times.

Nice To Haves

Minimum 0-3 years hand finish experience preferred.
Ability to read and comprehend English preferred.
