About The Position

As a part-time Merchandiser, you will independently service Hallmark departments in grocery, drug, department, and mass retail stores. You will organize and replenish products, monitor inventory, maintain Hallmark displays, and work with store teams to optimize product placement. You will use a Hallmark-provided mobile device for daily tasks and communication, including reporting time, submitting feedback, and completing surveys. The role also includes seasonal support, department resets, installations, and occasional assistance to other merchandisers in their territories. You may sometimes work with other companies’ products in stores you service.

The position averages 8–10 hours per week, with a variable schedule during the work week. Additional days and extended hours may be needed around major holidays and during seasonal changeovers, installations, extended services, and inventory support. Availability the week before and after major holidays is required and may include weekends; work on certain holidays may also be required. Remodel assignments are typically communicated two weeks in advance and may involve evening or weekend work. Starting pay is $16.50–$18.50 per hour, depending on skills and experience. Paid training is provided through hands-on instruction and virtual classroom training. Eligible employees receive annual pay increases. Part-time employees working fewer than 30 hours have access to voluntary benefits, including dental, vision, critical illness, accident insurance, hospital indemnity, and minimum essential coverage for preventive care.

The work takes place on retail selling floors and in back stockrooms. It is physically demanding and involves regularly pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures weighing up to 30 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds. The role also requires kneeling, squatting, walking, and standing, and may require climbing stairs and step ladders.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Be able to read, write, and understand English.
• Be able to frequently grasp, pull, lift, and carry products weighing up to 30 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
• Be able to operate a digital handheld device to open and read documents and interpret information.
• Have access to a Wi-Fi network and the internet.
• Have consistent transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
• Be available the week before and after major holidays, potentially including weekends.
• Be available to support season changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support.

Responsibilities

• Restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark products within and outside assigned Hallmark departments.
• Maintain responsibility for the Hallmark product display at assigned stores.
• Use a mobile device for merchandising work, communication with a supervisor, time reporting, feedback, and required activity surveys.
• Interact professionally and courteously with store employees, managers, and customers.
• Support seasonal demand with additional service days and extended hours around holidays.
• Build and install Hallmark fixtures, relocate card departments and products, and reset card sections.
• Support fellow merchandisers in other territories when needed.
• Support season changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory activities.
