About The Position

The Hallmark Merchandiser works independently in assigned retail stores to present Hallmark products, maintain inventory, and build relationships with store teams. The role involves servicing Hallmark departments in grocery, drug, department, and mass retail stores, and may occasionally include supporting other companies’ products in stores. Merchandisers use a Hallmark-provided mobile device for daily work and communications, and may assist colleagues with seasonal resets, installations, and inventory support. This is a part-time position with a variable weekday schedule, averaging 7–11 hours per week. Additional days or extended hours may be needed around holidays and seasonal changeovers; some assignments may occur on weekends or evenings.

The position is physically demanding. Work takes place on store selling floors and in back stockrooms and includes handling merchandise and fixtures, as well as standing, walking, kneeling, and squatting. Employees may also need to climb stairs or step ladders.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Be able to read, write, and understand English.
• Be able to grasp, pull, lift, and carry products up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
• Be able to operate a digital handheld device to open and read documents and interpret information.
• Have access to a Wi-Fi network and the internet.
• Have consistent transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
• Be available the week before and after major holidays, potentially including weekends.
• Be available to support season changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support.

Responsibilities

• Restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark product inventory in and outside the Hallmark department at assigned stores.
• Maintain responsibility for the Hallmark product display at assigned stores.
• Use a Hallmark-provided mobile device for daily work, supervisor communications, time reporting, feedback, surveys, and required merchandising activities.
• Interact professionally and courteously with store employees, management, and customers.
• Provide additional support around holidays, including extra workdays or extended hours and, on some occasions, working on the holiday itself.
• Assist with seasonal changeovers, installations, inventory support, and department resets.
• Build and install Hallmark fixtures, relocate card departments and products, and reset card sections as assigned.
• Support other merchandisers in their territories when needed.
